As the Premier League season unfolds, defending champions Manchester City host Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's team started the season with 2-0 victory over Chelsea. The Citizens' attacking arsenal, spearheaded by Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, poses a threat to any opponent.
Ipswich marked their return to the Premier League after over 20 years with a 0-2 defeat to Liverpool last weekend. However, manager Kieran McKenna has turned it into a resilient outfit and a clash against City will be the ultimate test.

Man City vs. Ipswich lineups, team news
Ilkay Gundogan's second coming at the Etihad Stadium is set to begin on the bench after Rico Lewis, Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva commanded central midfield effectively at Stamford Bridge in Rodri's absence. The Spain star was yet to return to training in the middle of this week after suffering an injury during the final of Euro 2024 and this weekend is set to come too soon.
Phil Foden was a member of the defeated England team in Berlin and the freshly crowned PFA Men's Player of the Year is set to return to the starting line-up. Foden replaced Savinho last weekend but the Brazil winger appears to have shaken off a knee niggle.
Man City predicted XI (3-3-1-3 right to left): Ederson (GK) — Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol — Lewis, Kovacic, Silva — De Bruyne — Foden, Haaland, Grealish
Injured: Rodri
Suspended: -
Liam Delap joined Ipswich from City this summer and is an academy graduate who starred as a striker in the same youth team as Cole Palmer. He will be keen to make a statement against familiar foes, although on-loan midfielder Kalvin Phillips is ineligible to face his parent club.
Chelsea striker Armando Broja and Sunderland forward Jack Clarke are set to come in to further reinforce Kieran McKenna's attacking options but if their transfers are completed in time for the weekend they are most likely to feature from the bench.
Ipswich predicted (3-4-3, right to left): Walton (GK) — Tuanzebe, Woolfenden, Greaves — Johnson, Luongo, Morsey, Davis — Szmodics, Delap, Hutchinson.
Injured: -
Suspended: -
